Partners In Urban Ministry (PIUM)

Mission: Our organization strives to foster partnerships among LCMS congregations and entities to accomplish God’s mission in our midst.

Goals of this Core Team:

· Develop a strategy to reach out to those people who are living without Jesus Christ in the St. Louis Metropolitan area and bring them into the Church.

· Work with Member Congregations and interested individuals to carry out a strategy for mission outreach.

· Nurture partnerships with organizations that have similar goals and objectives.

· Develop a budget for their team and any committee.

Projects-To-Date:

· Though not technically a project of this Core Team, the “Ethic Concert” (hosted by Mt. Olive L.C.as part of the Alpha Cluster) is related to the Cross-Cultural goals of this Core Team.

· Promotion of Camp Wartburg (plans for 100 Youth and includes 4 weekends and 1 full week for this Summer)

· Working on a “Youth Voice” grant for an ecumenical (different religions and various Christian denominations) conference with a focus on Youth and a forum on urban issues
