Partners In Urban Ministry (PIUM)

Mission: Our organization strives to foster partnerships among LCMS congregations and entities to accomplish God’s mission in our midst.

Goals of this Core Team:

· Develop a strategy to show God’s unconditional love to the people in the St. Louis metropolitan area and meeting their physical and spiritual needs.

· Work with Member Congregations and interested individuals to carry out the strategy.

· Nurture partnerships with organizations that have similar goals and objectives.

· Develop a budget for their team and any committees.

Projects-To-Date:

· PIUM became a Sponsor (as of the 11/6/05 Board meeting) for the “Come Share” program (promoted by Mt. Olive L.C. as part of the Alpha Cluster), related to the Food Pantry goals of this Core Team.

· PIUM sponsored a major food drive through Des Peres Hospital for the Lutheran Food Pantry Assoc. (approved at the 11/6/05 Board meeting) - contact Pastor Lampe (Mt. Olive L.C.) for more information on this.
